Laboratory

Each user is responsible for taking representative samples for user charge and pretreatment. This also includes making sure the laboratory that analyses your samples uses the correct methods and is certified by NJDEP. It must also report the results to the proper detection levels.

PVSC has the capability to analyze for organic pollutants. However, when PVSC cannot perform a compliance analysis in-house, it sends samples to an outside laboratory for analysis. The respective user is then required to reimburse PVSC for its costs. Users are required to reimburse PVSC for up to two such samples per year per pollutant.
