Who are we?
The PVSC facility is a 330 mgd POTW. Our award winning wastewater treatment plant is one of the largest in the Northeast.
"No job is too large or too small."
In 1996, PVSC began accepting liquid waste from outside its regulated sewer district. The liquid waste is brought in by truck, barge, or rail to utilize excess treatment capacity. The Liquid Waste Acceptance Program has continually grown since then, accepting about 175 trucks per day and one barge per week. This equates to approximately 6.5 million gallons of liquid to be treated from sources outside our sewer service area each week. The revenue generated by this program is used to reduce user charges to PVSC's 48 district members.
